The GA winePROOF tells you how similar the tested wine is to the original wine - this down to the vintage AND the producer. The Authentication Fact (AF) shows the similarity of your wine to the original on a scale of 1-100. The higher the AF value, the more similar the profile of your wine is to the profile of the original.

GA winePROOF authenticates the bottle's contents unlike other authentication methods which inspect the bottle, label, capsule and cork but not the bottle's contents.

Empty original bottles of precious wines are offered e.g. on eBay and other channels - including original corks and capsules. Consequently, authentication by inspecting the bottle, label, capsule and cork is not sufficient in every case. Therefore, the bottle's content must be checked for authenticity.

To get at the contents of the bottle, the way via the bottle opening involves a risk, especially with older wines, as the cork may crumble, for example, or at least its integrity may be damaged. For this reason, we use a protected method with a 1-mm laser hole in the shoulder of the bottle. This vaporises the glass and does not create dust. Once the 1 ml wine sample has been taken, the 1 mm laser hole is immediately sealed with glass and a food-grade polymer and sealed with the NFC-Tag.

Traditional authentication is carried out by experts, of whom there are too few. This is only profitable for a certain number of bottles to be checked. With GA winePROOF it is also possible to authenticate a single bottle. This makes the authenticity check accessible to larger circles.
